Most days I consider the advice from my parents about as valuable as the golf balls they spend all weekend putting across the country club. However, there are moments when I have to concede that they may have had a point. After all, I'm sure doctors never lose their positions because their nurses are overcome with emotional baggage and leave the state without even calling just hours before an operation. Surely the chief of staff in a hospital considers all the years of work the physicians put into their careers worth more than a quick dismissal because of one co-worker's stupidity-!
